What's on your Football Sunday Menu?

Gathering to cheer on the Vikings is a Minnesota ritual. It’s also a good excuse to make delicious snacks that everyone loves. This was our Football Sunday menu last weekend, and everything came from Dean’s. What was yours?

Chicken Wings- a perennial favorite. We bought a bag of Open Acre frozen wings, thawed them and used a dry rub to roast them in the oven until crispy. Here’s the recipe we used:

Stromboli- could there be an easier, cheesier snack? We hardly needed a recipe because we used Pillsbury pizza crust (in the dairy section) and Green Mill pizza sauce (in aisle 3). Here are instructions:

Deviled Eggs- It’s nice to have a cold food option on the buffet. Creamy deviled eggs are also a good protein choice and affordable to make. We added chopped pickles to the filling for extra crunch.

Sweet Chili Meatballs- we love an opportunity to incorporate Dean’s fresh ground burger into the menu. Meatballs are a great make-ahead option too. We simmered home-made meatballs in a can of cranberry jelly and a jar of chili sauce, but you can use frozen pre-made meatballs too!

Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms- Bacon. Need we say more? Make these. Recipe:

Strawberry Crumb Bars- gotta have something sweet! These are made easy with canned pie filling and sour cream. Here’s the recipe:
