Follow along with the “12 Treats of Christmas” on our Facebook page, starting this week! We have selected 12 sweet and savory treats and snacks to represent the 12 days of the famous Christmas carol.
Have you wondered about the story behind “12 Days”? It’s based in Christian theology, and the history of the carol is somewhat murky. The earliest version first appeared in a 1780 children’s book. The song most of us are familiar with comes from English composer Frederic Austin in 1909.
If you wanted to give someone all the gifts called out in the 12 Days of Christmas- start saving, because it would cost nearly $35,000 to buy them all.
